Games And Gamery

Pandas eh?

Panda excitement is in the air, but Blizz appear to still feel the need to bribe players into a 12month sub with the promise of Diablo 3. That’s $180 for a game (D3) that will cost sixty or seventy. I hope there’s 12 months of content in the panda expansion.

BTW, the Panda is an endangered species.

Is this a sign of things to come with WoW?

  1. Manamar Said,

So far the announcements from Blizzcon have left me feeling “meh”. Of all the expansions so far, this is the one I’m least impressed by. The talent tree system looks, in a word, crap and apparently received a huge boo from the audience when the panel finished, so I’m expecting it to go the way of the Path of Titans from Cataclysm.

  2. Wilhelm Arcturus Said,

Are you suggesting that spotted owls might be the next playable race?

  3. Stropp Said,

@Manamar — Yeah, I read about the nobbling of the talent trees. Big thumbs down from me. I like character customisation, that was one of the cool things about Rift, and removing it does nothing for me.

I’ve thought about this for a while, but I think I’m done with WoW completely. It’s still on my harddrive, but maybe not for long.

@Wilhelm — Actually I was thinking of endangered African White Rhino, but there is a small endangered marsupial in Oz called a Bilby. That might be an option given the cute factor of the Panda expansion.
