No Fool You

April the First. That day of the year where every man and his dog attempt to pull the wool over your eyes with tall tales, fantastic and mundane.

Not everyone appreciates the April Fools pranks though. In a way I think that's a pity, but everyone is different and a sense of humor can be hugely different between two individuals. What one person finds funny, another can find offensive.

Me, I have the sense of humor of an eight year old, I can laugh at almost anything. Fart jokes, or any jokes involving bodily functions for that matter, slapstick, to sophisticated and subtle humor.

I'm not going to list everything I saw here. I don't have the server space, but here are a few of the pranks I thought funny.

Blizzard got the top score this year as far as I'm concerned. Bard Hero and Molten Core for Consoles were well executed. I thought Molten Core was especially appropriate if the console was the XBox 360 due to its legendary heating issues.

Tobold played on everyone's fears with the announcement that Blizzard was raising WoWs monthly fee to $20. The scary thing about this announcement is that Tobolds previous joke post about an expansion called the Frozen Jihad wasn't far from what happened. If Blizzard raises the price, we'll all blame you Tobold!

Flagship Studios made the announcement of their new game for young girls, designed to empower them, called Hellgate: Barbie.

And finally, the Dungeon Runners developers announced a new expansion for their game. Due to the devs passion for all things equestrian, the new expansion will be Dungeon Runners: Pony Adventure. That's certain to be a winner with the same audience targeted by Hellgate: Barbie.

I didn't get caught out this year like I have in the past. I figure writing your own April Fools prank post opens your eyes to the others around you.
