Rumour Mongering - KOTOR Online
Posted by Stropp on October 25, 2007There are some more rumours of the KOTOR MMOG in development by Bioware. The article on Primotech Portal is apparently based on information from a “source close to Bioware.”
The rumour is that the game is being developed at the Bioware Austin studio with some of the developers who have worked on some of the companys past big games including Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and of course the first KOTOR game. (The second KOTOR was developed by Obsidian).
Rumour even has a release scheduled for sometime in 2009. Of course, we all know that really means first quarter 2010. So there is still some time to go before this hits the shelves, providing the rumours are true. It’s probably a bit early to order your lightsabres.

Ok that could be interesting…haven’t yet found the sci fi mmorpg yet that I feel happy with…Stargate Worlds maybe, Star Trek maybe…
…could it be any worse than SWG?
I played the XBox games and quite enjoyed them. If they make a KOTOR MMO deep and story driven (and Bioware are in the habit of doing this with their games) then it would definitely be something worth looking at.
On the topic of Stargate Worlds, check out MMORPG.com; they have an article up about playing as a Goa’uld. It definitely sounds interesting. I’m not sure I’d be able to resist playing the flashy eyed bad guys!
