yeah im moving flat soon so i can kiss goodbye to wow for a week or so :(
I just got to lvl 46 (in about 7 days) am just dieing to get through the portal so need to power lvl.
I would be interested in you doing a blog about guilds (the creation/running etc), i dont know if you have created your own guild before but it would be an interesting read.
Anyway good luck with your new job and please continue writing your articles which make for an enjoyable read :)

I reckon I'll be sticking with daggers because of the attacks. While a lot of this is an experiment with Joana's Guide, speed isn't everything, and I also like the dagger style. Besides the way the game works, I can always pick up and train swords if the need arises.

As for level. I started a new job last week and haven't had a lot of time. I did my level 10 rogue quest but not much more unfortunately.

If its fast leveling your after i would recomend you ignore what i said about daggers and go swords and combat spec.

In my opinion sword rogues kind of ruin the rogue class but hey thats just my opinion cause i love the look and speed of daggers + moves like ambush and backstab

What lvl are you now by the way?

Aviendha and Fortuente: Thanks for your advice. Fast leveling is what I am looking for, considering my experiment with Joana's guide and you've both given me some ideas. However, being on a PvP server means that I'll be coming up against other players more often than not.

While fast leveling is good, I'll need to be able to handle other players. How do those builds cope with PvP situations?

For leveling, I always use a predominantly combat build, I think ass/com is probably the my favorite flavor. It's not the most exciting (except I still get tickled even after two years whenever I disarm someone), but it has the damage you need to grind down mobs in PVE.

That's pretty close to my main's build at level 60 (after respeccing away from mutilate when BC came out). Liek i said, not the most challenging build, but it is a PVE ass-kicking machine.

If your looking to level fast go down the assination tree.... put a few points in subtly to improve your stealth but otherwise assination is the quickest way to level on a rogue.

Super Ally: Thanks for the tips. I was planning to stick with daggers since they are needed to do several moves. And since they are very roguey I'd like to play the part. As for the talents, you've given me a bit more food for thought.

DM: Yeah PvP... lol... watch me get pwnd. Though that's one of the reasons I chose a rogue. Stealth. I can sneak off if the going is too tough. Not sure about a guild. It's probably an advantage on a PvP server, but I'm just going to play it by ear at this stage.

BTW, I think its the case (for most of the classes) that they really come into their own well after level ten. That's certainly the case with hunters.

So Stropp on a PVP server hmmm not sure I'm looking for that kind of fun but who knows as I have still to decide what server to start on.

I tried Rogue class in the past but not past level 10 wasn't for me...19 days for 60 you should beat this time...are you bothering with a guild for this character?

I forgot to add - the real fun comes when you have ambush - cheapshot - evasion - vanish (have all of them at lvl 22 or 24? one or the other)

Hey Stropp

I play the rogue class and have done ever since i started playing wow. I have tried others but always seem to end up going back to being a rogue. I find its the most fun (especially for pvp) and most interesting.
I recently rolled a Belf rogue as well and i must say the arcane torrent is great for stopping healers heal as well as kick (cool downs are frustrating).
I am currently a subtlety rogue and its good for improved sap and preparation etc but i also recommend the assassination tree as well. If i was to give you one bit of advice however it would be to stick to daggers, i see many a rogue go to swords - purely because it increases dps in instances - my advice is keep the daggers as it is the best fun and more skill is required.
Enjoy :)
