Punching Dragons

Posted by Stropp on September 12, 2006 In the category of "What's this button for?" I was in the Sunken Temple the other day with a group of guildies. Everything had been going well, except for the hiccup where I jumped down from a balcony and was magnetically pulled towards a couple of whelps below. Of course they all aggroed and we wiped. Ouch! Well anyway, we recovered, jumped down again and started clearing the dragonkin. A couple of dragons appear and we take care of them pretty quickly. Morphaz and his buddy are next and they go down the fastest I've ever seen. Very nice. I get the item I need for the hunter quest I am doing and we move on. Now we find ourselves in the room with the Shade of Eranikus. But wait we haven't finished off the remaining dragonkin. There is about a third of them left. I reckon you know what comes next eh? So Optical starts moving towards the Shade. Zam asks the question. "Don't all the dragonkin mobs that we didn't kill, attack us when we fight this boss?" Optical: "Let's find out." Runs up and hits it. We all join in, and for a few seconds I think we are going to be all right. Then the first dot appears on my radar. Then another. And another. "Incoming!" The moral of the story? Don't punch the dragon if he has friends around. The really good thing about this is that we had a laugh about it afterward.
